RKW Group at the TechTextil 2009
New Opportunities with Hydroentangled Spunbond Nonwovens and Breathable Films
Frankenthal, May 13, 2009 – The RKW Group will present a part of its comprehensive product portfolio at this year’s TechTextil in Frankfurt from June 16-18, 2009. Along with well-established carded and spubond nonwovens, the new generation of RKW HyJet® nonwovens along with breathable Aptra® films will form the focus of the exhibition presentation in Hall 3.1, Stand G 83. Aptra® products can also be combined with nonwovens and processed into roof underlayments.
RKW HyJet® - Hydroentangled Spunbond Nonwovens
The RKW-Group produces this new generation of hydroentangled spunbond nonwovens at its Business Units in Halberstadt and Gronau. Whereas thermobonding arranges and joins the fibers with heat, the new technology bonds endless fibers with high-pressure water jets. The results are soft and tear-resistant nonwovens that can be spin-dyed and electro-statically charged. They are made of high-purity polypropylenes and as they no chemical binders are used, are free of allergens.
At the same grammage, RKW HyJet® products are more voluminous than conventional spunbond nonwovens. Interested parties are welcome to find out more about the whole range of possible applications in a conversation with an expert at our stand. These applications include agricultural products along with construction industry products such as roof underlayments and sealing sheeting. The new nonwovens can also form the basis of homecare products as well as for Personal- and Baby Care products including wipes and pads.
